By Mt woman from Lakewood CO on 10/28/2009 Best Uses: Back country Skiing, Day trip, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: fits the Komperdell poles perfectly. Will keep my poles from sinking into the deep snow.
By why is a nickname required? None. from North America and Europe on 03/29/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These did not appear to fit any of my poles exactly right, but it is quite easy to pull my old baskets off, slide these ones on loosely, and hold them in place by putting my old (smaller) baskets back on. A bandaid to be sure, but it seems to work flawlessly (and it's no extra weight because I would carry the spare baskets regardless.)
Harkens back to leather ski boot days By Gimpy (missing one basket) from SE Michigan on 03/24/2009 Best Uses: For deep powder Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered too late for this winter, but will try it out next snowshoing trip. Looks to be more effective in powder than the snowflake baskets currently on most adjustible poles. A bit pricey for baskets. Had to get it since all manufacturers seem to like their own tip design: screwed on, twist n lock, or snap in. Needed them to replace a lost, screwed on basket.
I would buy this product again. By Mrs. Active from La Motte, IA on 01/23/2009 Pros: Easy to add to poles Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We used these snowbaskets to replace our summer baskets for our hiking poles. They were easily applied to our poles and help out immensley in deep snow. We're very satisfied with this product.
Good quality but high price By Marty the hiker from Flagstaff, AZ on 01/19/2009 Best Uses: Cross-country skiing, Hiking, Snow shoeing Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The snow baskets seem sturdy and of good quality. I did have trouble figuring out how to attach them to the poles. No instructions were included. Price seemed rather high, but they should last for years. [...]
