Very warm and cushy around the foot, but thiner around the ankle. I get cold feet easily and have been very pleased with the wamth of these socks! The colour looks a bit different than online, but it's still okay.
By PDX Ruth from Portland on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Durable Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking, Walking the dog Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice socks for my Lowa hiking boots. Seem to hold up well, and are padded in the right places. I always like the arch 'support' in socks. They do fit my fairly small feet better than unisex socks.
By KaySerRa from McDonough, GA on 01/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cushy, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well Best Uses: Daily Use, Horseback riding, Working outside wanimals Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the time I've bought Bridgedale wool socks, but they seem to be working out very well. Not as cushy as the SmartWool socks that I've gotten in the past, but these are comfy, warm socks, that have washed/dryed well. It doesn't get as cold here as other places; however, I hate when my feet gets cold, when working outside with the animals or just mucking out the stalls.
