Orvis clothes tend to run large. This vest is an exception. I'm a 12 and the M is a fairly close fit. If you plan to wear a thick sweater under it, you may want to order up.

The arm holes are a bit large but the vest is so beautiful that I can live with this small issue. This vest is also very warm and cozy. It is not really something to throw on when you need just a bit more warmth but it is very well made and classic.
