Can't wait to hike in these By New Zealand Fishing Nut from Roswell, New Mexico on 04/09/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet wading Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My plan is to hike and wade New Zealand rivers in these boots. I think they will be ideal. I wish they were a little wider in the toe -- all shoes seem to be either too tight in the toe box or too loose in the heel.

Comfortable right out of the box By Mayfly22 from White Salmon, WA on 04/08/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Hard to give them a full review when I have only worn them once. Very comfortable and lots of support. After a day of stomping in the hills I did notice that one of the eyelet hooks was bent up a bit. I don't know if it was a defect or I hit a rock. All in all very satisfied.
most comfortable boots I've ever owned By Randy the mechanic from SD on 04/08/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Sturdy/Durable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: first pair lasted 10 yrs (Goretex version) I wear them everyday for work and play. This pair feels just like the original. Don't expect as water resistant, but may be cooler in hot weather. Get 1/2 size smaller than street shoes.
By Neighbor Dave from Pendleton, Oregon on 04/07/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots have been great so far. I only have had them for a couple weeks and thought they might be too tight initially, but the leather broke in after a day of use, and I have been happy with them since. I travel a lot by foot for work, doing research in farmland and mountains, and they have worked well in slushy puddles (minor wetness, hardly noticeable, and definitely put to the test), powdery dirt and rock. Good all around boot.
