Great Sox for Hikes and Field Trips
By txgalonthego from TX on 3/23/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Durable, Wicks Away Moisture
Best Uses:
Daily Use, Hiking
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: I wear these socks in light hiking boots and in trail running shoes for 'field days', outdoor classes, and short (2-6 hour) hikes. They are just the right middle weight, not too hot (but maybe too heavy for summer), with just enough cushioning.

Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:

Comments: Easy on and off - no tightness at all, but still snug enough to not drop, bunch or roll. They offer excellent comfort and warmth on cool days, cool on warmer days. Colder days require a heavier sock. I wear these with hiking boots, casual shoes and at work with heavy footwear - all comfortable in these Bridgedales. I buy Bridgedales whenever possible because of great durability, comfort and fit.

Comments: I've worn these as daily knock-around socks, mountain trail hiking and found them warm, comfortable all the time. Definately good wicking - feet felt dry. They seem to get a little bunched up after 5-6 hours - but that's acceptable I think.

Comments: My hubby is a builder/general contractor and wears steel-toe work boots constantly. He wears size XL socks and usually has difficulty finding what he really likes: they are either too bulky or are not really an XL (either the foot is too short or the top of the sock is too tight on his leg--it's been frustrating!). We finally found THESE socks that FIT beautifully and are very comfortable. In fact, they fit so well that we just ordered several more pairs. Thank you, STP--you did it again!!
