Built for comfort, not good looks By Runs with dogs from Denver, Colorado on 02/17/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As directed, I ordered a half size up and they fit fine. AS others noted, laces are a little short, but not really a problem. They feel nice and cushy - kind of ugly, but fit and comfort are more important to me in a workout shoe.
By Savvy Shopper from San Jose on 02/13/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Everyday wear, Pavement, Running, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These Asics are very comfortable - right out of the box. I usually need insoles, but these have a good footbed & arch.

By Runner from Montana on 02/10/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Endurance Training, Running, Walking Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I normally wear Brooks for running, but wanted little more tread/traction and cushioning on gravel roads, so I tried the Asics and so far so good.
By Moundite from Minnesota on 02/08/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have found Asics to be my best walking, and fast walking, shoe. They are a bit snug so I go up half a size when on the "bump". Allows for slightly thicker socks that help with the cool temps here in fall and spring.
Love the shoes but hate the laces By A casual runner from Michigan on 02/07/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Asics are my favorite runners and I am a devotee. The laces on these shoes are smooth and not very long, so it is difficult to double tie them. The smoothness of the laces causes them to come untied during a run which can be very frustrating (especially in winter).
By BklynGal from Brooklyn, NY on 02/02/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Off-road, Wet weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm an Asics Gel-Kayano wearer, but the vents which keep your feet cool in the summer allow your feet to get wet during wintry weather. If you choose to run outdoors despite the snow, wear these to keep your feet dry.
They are heavier than ordinary running shoes but not oppressively so.
