By Julie from Round Rock, TX on 10/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Outdoor adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I cannot say enough good things about these Merrell boots! I wore them 10 hours a day hiking in the Smokies for a week, and I didn't get a single blister or hot spot. In fact, I was completely unaware of my feet while hiking, which says a lot about the comfort level of the boot. Prior to my hiking trip, I had worn the boots several times around the neighborhood to break them in. The ankle of the boot felt a bit stiff at first, but it quickly softened up and wasn't a problem. The boots provided good stability and excellent traction on rocky terrain. My feet did not get overly sweaty in these boots, either. I highly recommend them!
By Alpine hiker from Santa Barbara on 10/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Lightweight, Multi-Use, Secure Fit Best Uses: Climbing, Everyday/Practical Use Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just returned from two months of hiking in the Alps. I wore my Merrill boots almost every day and often hiked in them for up to 8 hours a day. The boots were extremely comfortable and so lightweight. At one point on my trip, I was staying on a farm and accidently splattered pig slop on them while I was helping the farmer but they sponged off easily and looked as good as new. I can't say enough positive things about these boots. I highly recommend them.
