Comments:
Have used lots of differnt brands of hiking boots,Merrells are my favorite. The Pulse 2 are the most comfortable so far. I have a wider foot bed and merrells feel as comfortable as slippers. They have plenty of toe room so on decent from the mountains I don't bruise my toes. I went up a size, from my normal boot and found it reduced my blistering and toe bruising to nothing...Yay...

Comments:
Have purchased the boots to embark upon the 5-day Milford Walk in New Zealand in December. Researched the perfect boot before this and narrowed the choice to this one.... Have done a couple of small walks so far and they are perfect for my needs, so light and comfortable but with good ankle support.

Comments:
As soon as the package arrived at the door, I immediately tried the new Merrells on, and they were one of the best things to grace my feet ever! Honestly though, this is the first pair of quality hiking boots that I've ever bought for myself. For years I simply hiked in really cheap, slightly too big Columbia hiking boots and it was real killer on my feet. My first outing with the Merrells was on a 4-ish miles hike around Golden Gate Canyon State Park on a medium/moderate terrain trail. The boots did pretty dang well. I even stood in a shallow creek for a little bit to test the Gore-Tex and my feet stayed nice and dry. I wear SmartWool hiking socks with the boots and my feet also stayed relatively cool. I love these boots! Also another note- I wear size 7-7.5 normally for most shoes, and I went with the 7.5 to compensate for the thickish hiking socks and the fit was perfect. 7 would've been too small for me. So basically if you're trying to decide between two sizes, I'd say pick the bigger one.

I usually wear a 7.5, but ordered the 8.5 in these, and am very happy that I did. They fit perfectly. Haven't worn them on a long hike yet, but they feel great right out of the box.

Only had these a short time - but thus far they are awesome. Was able to use them straight away - so comfortable - not a single chafe or rub as they were being broken in. I wear these daily for 5-7 hours of on the go walking and they have been great.
