Mostly Good...Some Not So Good By Dolph from Vail, CO on 10/29/2009 Pros: Colors are awesome, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket color is awesome. I enjoy snowboarding here in Vail and love the bright colors to avoid "run-ins". I thought the jacket fit well I am 6'5" and 230 (with monkey arms) and thought these sleeves are long enough. Chest was fine. The side pockets are wierd. Its lighter weight than I wanted, but I will layer to compensate. Not for super cold weather.

By Eric the Disappointed from Cincinnati, OH on 07/31/2009 Cons: Bad zipper, Poor Fit, Unusual Design Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had such high hopes for this jacket. It's so interesting looking, but unfortunately, the functionality of the item is pretty poor. I'm 6'4", 195lbs (slightly skinny, but pretty normal frame) and the fit was so odd on me. My wife even said that the way it looked on me was as if someone made a mistake when they were cutting the fabric. Also, the hand pockets are terrible. The zip all the way down from the top of the chest. This may be good for ventilation, but that's what the armpit zips are for. With the zippers down (so you can put your hands in the pockets) you just have a jacket with huge flaps in the front of it which looks ridiculous. I agree with other reviews that the armpits are unusually high and tight which was a bit annoying, and would definitely prevent any real layering. Finally, the zipper on the female side is sort of annoying, but the real problem is that the zipper was incredibly hard to get started in order to zip up the jacket.
Getting returned for sure.

By stay at home Dad from Everett, WA on 03/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I posted previously that this jacket is beautifully made but has a weird fit. The armpits were too tight on the large. I exchanged it for an XL and, even though the sleeves are now too long (I'm 180lbs, 6'1"), I'm going to keep this jacket. I can now wear a thin fleece underneath and the armpits don't bind anymore. If you want this jacket, get a size larger. If it fits, you will love it. The quality of the finish is exemplary. I've been getting lots of compliments in the few days that I've worn it. I've used it walking in a cold rain and had to open the zips to keep from overheating. It kept me warm and dry. This will probably be my new winter jacket. (Remember though, I live in the Pacific Northwest. If you're on the East Coast or Midwest, you'll need a little more for your winters!)
Excellent quality but weird fit By stay at home Dad from Everett on 03/11/2009 Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Really frustrating . . . this jacket seems to be really high quality and looks great. I got the XL and the chest fits good (6'1", 185lbs, 44"chest, 33"waist), the sleeves are long enough, the collar is perfect, BUT the armpits feel way too high. It feels like a wedgie in my armpit! Unless I keep the underarm vent zips completely open, it just doesn't fit right. Because of the tightness under the arm, there is also no way I can layer anything underneath except maybe a small fleece vest.

Beautiful . . . but small By Eagel Scout from Honeybrook, PA on 02/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you’re 6’ or under you will probably love this jacket. I ordered even after reading the other reviews about this jacket falling on the smaller size. I had to return due to size issues unfortunately (I am 6’3”). The jacket is solid other wise, can’t beat the material, craftsmanship, & design. I replaced with a Marmot ‘High Point’, now that is one nice jacket (see my review if interested) especially for us taller fellows.
By Polarcirkel from Sweden on 02/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have never been disappointed with any of the many Haglöfs products that I own. This jacket is another example of quality workmanship and attention to detail. Freedom of movement is no problem at all and it is warm enough. When it gets really cold I combine it with a shell and the combo is perfect for skiing or snow-shoeing. The neck is higher than most, but I think that adds to the jacket's versatility, because it protects your skin all the way up to your face. The price makes it a great deal, as these products really do seel at the indicated retail prices here in Sweden.
