By Mountain Man from Fort Collins, CO on 09/15/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Water Resistant, Wind resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Ice Climbing, Mountaineering, Rock climbing, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This IS the perfect softshell! There is no other softshell that comes close, and i have tried them all. Sharpoint, Alchemy, Bionic...nothing compares. The roll in hood fits perfectly over my (large) head and helmet for ice climbing and mountaineering. The features say the jacket is "water resistant" (the DWR is superb) and "wind resistant", but that's not doing the jacket justice. The fabric is darn near wind-proof! I have tested it and wind does not get through! Bottom line is, if you want a softshell that is leaps and bounds above any other with a price that is comparable with any other, buy this jacket!
