By steelester from hershey, pa on 02/09/2010 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a 43 - normally in between lg & xl....bought the XL and it feels a little small in the chest. Arms are nice & jacket material is comfy.
By El Presidente from Lake Tahoe on 01/20/2010 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Athletic activities, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Other comments criticize tight fit, longer sleeves and zipper. This is an "athletic" soft shell well designed for that use. Four-way stretch is wonderful but does cause the fixed hood to get a little in the way when not in use. YKK zipper is of highest quality. Comfort is exceptional even at a variety of temperatures.
Too small, but nice quilty soft shell By lammas from china on 01/01/2010 Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: a little small for its size, but larger one
ruined a great jacket with a cheap zippe By steve the skier from Salt Lake City, UT on 06/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm, Windproof Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It would be a great jacket but out of the box the zipper has been an adventure, taking about 1 min to get started correctly on average. Needless to say when you are rush-swapping a layer underneath it in a snowstorm in the mountains this SUCKS. In my opinion, it basically ruins the jacket as a serious technical piece and converts it to a "about town" coat.
By Brad from Amelia Island, Florida on 01/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Zipper on left instead of right for mens
Excellent for cold weather biking By BikeCommuter from Philadelphia, PA on 01/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used it for 2 months for biking and it has been adequate for 80-minute bike rides in temperatures as low as 10 deg. F. The hood almost serves as a balaclava and fits snugly under the helmet. Have also found it comfortable up to 60 deg F. My only gripe is that the hood is not detachable.
By JPB from Chicago, IL on 01/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really wanted to like this shell - very well designed with many features I wanted. Unfortunately, it was too small in the chest and the armpits, a problem I've never had with Marmot or Mammut. Judging from other comments, this seems to be a real problem with an otherwise fine brand.
By CK 14er from Kansas City on 12/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket. It is a slim cut for sure so if you have a little bit of a belly you might upsize a bit. Sleves are very long, nice for being outdoors but be ready for long sleeves.
Only 2 exterior pockets and 2 interior. Not bad but I like and Exterior pocket on the chest. Seems like a great jacket though and can't wait to test it in some extreem conditions.
By Mark from Savannah, GA on 12/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really like the jacket - wish it had an exterior chest pocket, but still very nice and clean design. Comfortable, light weight stretch fabric that does a nice job of stopping the wind when out on the water.
