Have it in the longer length in 2 colors. Washes very well, still looks new after 2 years and multiple washings. The red color is more crimson, very pretty. Length is flattering mid-thigh. Sleeves a little long but I like that in cold weather. Don't be fooled by how light it is; very warm like high-end hiking jackets and not heavy like most winter coats. Love it, love it.

The material is a fleece comparable to Polartec 200, rather too flexible for a constructed coat. This makes the hem a little droopy. The sleeves were too big in length and around, but I felt it worthwhile to take them in. It's like a red-riding hood to throw over sweaters and very practical for that. I liked the color, feel, and generous hood which is pointed rather than helmet shaped.

I expected a "wool blend" to be mostly wool, not mostly polyester.
The fabric was more akin to a bathrobe rather than a coat.
I am also disappointed in the country of origin. I avoid buying any product made in China.

It is roomy enough so that you could wear layers under it and be comfortable in somewhat lower temperatures, also. As a professional musician, I wear a lot of black, so this coat goes well with my concert attire. (As a previous reviewer stated, this coat is unstructured, rather than highly tailored.) I have not tried to launder it, so I can not comment on that yet.

However, the blend seems to be a synthetic with Thinsulate-like properties, meaning the coat is warmer than it feels in terms of weight. Easy to wear and attractive.
