Beautiful, functional, great for work! By Shawanda from Chicago, IL on 10/15/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a flight attendant and needed a wool coat for work. However, finding a navy blue wool coat for under $800 was frustrating. When my husband found this for me, I was ecstatic. It's a great value for an awesome product. It looks great with my uniform and it's very warm.
By Skywriter from Oklahoma City on 08/24/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Soft fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm 5'11" with exceptionally long arms, but this lovely coat with a wonderfully soft hand is perfect! After reading other reviews, I was correct that it would be mid-calf length on me. There are no belt loops to have to move down (for me) or up, and a loop below the inside back neckline for the belt when the coat is hanging.
By McHillberry from Frisco, TX on 06/30/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat is beautiful in every way and as much as I wanted to keep it, I realized it is just too long for Texas and would be better suited for the east coast and someone who goes to an office. If I was still working, I probably would have kept it regardless of our weather. It would work with skirts, dresses and slacks. It is very classic and will remain a timeless addition to a wardrobe.

Nice design too. I'm a perfect 12 & I never need alterations but I had to return the 12 for a 10.
A really great bargain!
By Diann in L.A. from Los Angeles, CA on 05/08/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Going Out, When you need a long coat Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end Budget-Consciou, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I couldn't make up my mind between this and 2 other coats; but as soon as I put this one on, I knew this was THE ONE. It's a 40% cashmere-wool blend, but feels like 100% cashmere. It's warm without being heavy, and envelops you in well- lined luxury. The design is simple; and the belt allows you to draw the waist in, giving a trench-like look. There were no wrinkles, right out of the box (as opposed to the camel-hair coat, which I returned) You can dress it up with a scarf or a pin; or keep it simple. It is long; so you may want to shorten the hem. But leaving it long won't be a problem. You can wear it over a skirt or pants with boots, and be very stylish.
Full Disclosure: I'm from Southern California, where you folks back East or up North may think "What does she know about cold weather?" So I don't know if this will keep you warm enough in the snow; but So. Cal. gets some seriously cold days -- and nights -- to make me acutely aware that a short coat is not enough. Grabbing this full-length coat would be a joy -- not a chore.

By sweater lover from Indianapolis on 02/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband believes women's legs are meant to be seen and hates anything ankle length unilaterally. I almost never buy anything he doesn't like because I want to look attractive to him. However, I've wanted a classic ankle length dress coat for 30 years and the price on this was impossible to pass on. I just got it today and have not had any reason to wear it. However, I think it is gorgeous. The cashmere added to the wool gives it a soft hand that a pure wool coat doesn't have. There is no scratchiness, something I loathe about pure wool. I'm only 5'4" and it hits right at my ankle bone and I've got a 30" inseam, so short legged women who want a long coat should be prepared to have it altered. With heeled boots, my husband concedes it would be "tolerable", but I don't wear heels, especially if there is snow or ice on the ground. I might purchase a reasonably priced pair of heeled boots to wear with this coat when the ground is dry because it would be classier than flat boots. A scarf inside the neckline would jazz it up, too. I doubt there is a more beautiful wool/cashmere blend coat available at an affordable price. I read some women were surprised by the shoulder pads. I've never had a dress coat that did not have shoulder pads. I also sew and have taken tailoring classes. Dressy suit jackets and coats have shoulder pads to give them shape and structure. The shoulder is wider than in a casual jacket or coat and would collapse without the pads. These are very small and don't make you look like an '80s replay.
By Lovelylady from Seattle on 01/13/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Classic, Comfortable, Stylish Cons: Not bound button holes Best Uses: Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a classic coat, color and style that would live with me for many years. This is it. I'd rather have bound button holes, but the machine edge is OK. This coat is plain. Any scarf or neckline will go with it and it's plain look makes it very versatile. Just what I wanted to wear to the symphony.
