I normally don't like insulated jackets in the backcountry because they have less layering options, but I love this jacket. I sweat a lot and the jacket vents enough while still keeping me warm while hanging out on the mountain. Its a heavy for mountaineering use but it is great for long days on the mountain when you have a bed to sleep in that night. My go to jacket for days when I am using the lift.
