By DC Rider from Washington, DC on 12/13/2008 Cons: Low Quality, Thin Fabric, Too Short, Very small in shoulders Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic, Eclectic, Quality for money Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Thin fabic with slightly unpleasant texture, cut slim through torso which is fine as that fits me better, but not when also too short to stay tucked in, the turtleneck uncomfortably constrictive on throat, and the shoulders amazingly narrow. If the fit had been better would have put up with the fabric and worn a silk undershirt to keep it off my skin. Color is true.
By beckymacg from NM on 12/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit, Great Color Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Length: Feels true to length Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like these August Silk turtlenecks but they are not a smooth and silky texture- not soft material...typical rayon/polyester...if anything when you first get them a little rough to touch...but fit nice and have nice color
Basic silk blend turtleneck By Urban Baby Boomer from Boston, MA on 12/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Versatile Cons: Color Not As Expected Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Basic under suit turtleneck. The color was a bit diluted for me and it was a bit short. I like vibrant, strong colors and have a long torso, so I returned it. For someone under 5'8" who prefers muted tones to wear under jackets it may be perfect.
By Susan from Durham on 12/09/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Career, Eclectic Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm long-waisted and this was too short for me; I am also generally a medium but usually buy stretchy turtlenecks in large to avoid too much cling. But this one was sized like a medium in large.
By Shopper from Chicago on 12/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great top!! Beautiful color (I got the red and the black)!! Other than running a little small, it is perfect. I love the fabric! Great bargain at this price!
By none from Colorado mountains on 12/08/2008 Pros: Great Color, High Quality, Too tight, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Layering piece, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic, Eclectic Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have ordered August Silk turtle necks before and was very pleased. This particular model fits more tightly through the torso than I like. The cut is small and I don't believe a larger size would be any different. Perhaps the flat rib is the problem for me.

By Carrie the Counselor from Salt Lake City, Ut on 12/06/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Classic Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually feel like I'm being strangled in turtlenecks but this fabric is very soft and silky. It is a wonderful basic under jackets and blazers. I usually wear a medium size but have found that August Silk tends to run small (I don't like sweaters to be clingy). It washes beautifully.
By jpendle from Boston, MA on 12/04/2008 Pros: Great Color, High Quality, Versatile Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This turtleneck is nicely made, but I found that it runs small. I'm normally a 10-12 and first ordered a large based on others' comments. That was very form fitting, hugging every curve, and I'm happier with the XL, which is still far from baggy. The daggar red is a very rich shade, good for the holidays.
By Displaced Coloradan from Orange City, IA on 12/03/2008 Pros: Flattering, Great Color, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first size I ordered (L) was just a bit small. The XL was a better fit, but still pulls around the bust. It's a good warm foundation garment for cold weather.
