By A Dedicated Road Rider from Sacramento, CA on 01/27/2009 Pros: Good Ventilation, Lightweight, Tough Best Uses: All-Around, Cold Weather, Long Rides, Road Biking Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ride about 100 to 150 miles a week and wore out a Giro Eclipse size M helmet after after about 7 years of heavy use so it was time to replace it with a new Giro helmet. The paint and graphics on this helmet are gorgeous but unfortunately, my previous helmet was a size M and so I ordered this one in size M to replace it but it fits very snugly and seems to be sized about a half size smaller than previous size M. I think this helmet is as good as the ones you pay $100 to $200+ for--I think they use the same materials but get a little fancier on the graphics on the more expensive models--so getting this Giro for around $50 was a great deal. I like the helmet, but wish I had known that today's size M is a little smaller than the size M of a few years ago and I probably would have ordered a size L for a better fit. Try one on at a local store if you can to be sure the size is right for you and then order it here to save some $$.
