By SoCal refuge from Star Prairie, WI on 06/12/2009 Pros: Convenient back-of-head adjustment, Good ventilation, Lightweight Cons: Awkward chin strap, Clunky adjustment Best Uses: Everyday riding, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I gave this helmet an extra star because of STP's discount pricing. I would never have paid full retail for it. It is a fairly average helmet in terms of fit, padding, ventilation and constuction--nothing special. The chin strap is awkward, difficult to adjust and presses against my throat when it is tightened down appropriately--I finally gave up and just wear it loose. Interior padding is minimal and attached with velcro which allows you to take it out but not actually adjust it. I utimately decided that, for the price, it was worth keeping.

By Ben the cyclist from ma on 04/04/2009 Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Biking Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I cannot rate most of the categories because the helmet was too small to even fit on my head. I have ordered Giro helmets before and have not had this problem. I would not order this particular helmet

By The Rosary Runner from Wakefield, RI on 03/13/2009 Cons: Strap Chafes, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: While it is nice to be able to adjust the straps throughout their side to side range, the fixed points for where they come through the chassis are uncomfortably placed. I could not get them away from my ear enough to be comfortable. And, the plastic bands that adjust the tightness sat 1/4 inch down on my ears. Very uncomfortable. I followed the sizing guide to place my order. Can't quite tell if it was a half-size too big or just overly-designed. I guess I should get fitted properly at a bike shop and not order something like this online. Sorry Sierra Trading Post; I still love you.
