very nice, and flattering, too By seainnc from Raleigh, NC on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fit is great--roomy through hips and legs--and the fabric has a great drape that makes you look thin and tall. I'm very pleased. Would buy the same style in different colors, if they had them.
By Heather from Beaufort, SC on 07/19/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm 5'9 and the length was great for me, probably would be too long if you are shorter. Nice, lightweight summer jean. I'm not sure how flattering they are for a size 16, but I will love wearing them because they are comfortable!
By Loven the clothes from Malta, ID on 06/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pants are nice and comfy, but they fit big, I like long pants, but these are the type you would need to wear a heal with. I usually wear jeans that are a little snugger to the body.
Flattering jeans, not too tight By gambel from Durango, CO on 05/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are nice jeans, especially if you want some casual pants that are not super tight. I am curvy in the hips and so many jeans draw attention right to the hip area. It is nice to have some that are less eye-grabbing. I am 5'6 and happy to not have to hem these. I like the fuller straight leg.
By SD Writer from San Diego, CA on 03/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Stylish Cons: Color Not As Expected Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Loved the fabric of these pants and considered keeping them. They would be great jeans for the summer as the fabric is lighter than most denim. But the washed out finish on the thighs (front and back) just put too much emphasis on an area I'd like to de-emphasize. Very trendy look and will work if you want jeans with the worn look.
By Betsy on the go from Stockton, NJ on 02/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great fit, very flattering, nice straight leg, very lightweight. Fabric does have an overall puckery effect, and a bit of odd whiskering by the pocket, but otherwise, love them!!
By scaryblondechick from New York, NY on 12/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Washes Well, Wrinkle-Free Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: *Yes* to the top of these comfy, well fitting pants, *no* to the bottom.
The waistband, a bit broader than most, is very flattering, as is the rear pocket design. The fit through waist and hips is perfect. I can't get over how good my butt looks in these. The fabric is soft, a bit stretchy, and much less stiff than most denim. Comfort-wise, these pants are a pleasure to wear.
But the legs as pictured here look narrower and straighter than they look when worn. On, they are awfully wide, almost floppy, creating the impression of a flare or boot cut. Since jeans are narrowing down in the leg this year, this makes them appear awfully dated.
The price is so reasonable and the fit so nice that I won't return these - instead I'll take them and have the legs altered - the way the pants are cut and seamed, this won't be a difficult job. And of course if you like that wide leg look, these will be just peachy. Otherwise, you might want to pass them up for something a bit more up-to-date.
I wanted to like these... By Maddog's Mommy from Durango, CO on 09/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Wrinkle-Free Cons: Runs very large long Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I REALLY wanted to like these. I loved the material - a unique crinkley like denim. But, alas, twas not to be. These were too big even though I ordered a size smaller than normal and they were way too long. The picture doesn't show it but my pair had some weird little pocket buttons too. If you're taller and can hit on the right size, these may work for you.
