Not too heavy or hot, just right, soft cotton knit.I put it on as soon as I jump out of bed and feel comfy and covered while I sip my coffee.
By veggie from atlanta on 08/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Well Made Best Uses: Cool Nights, Modesty with houseguests Describe Yourself: Born again hippy, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric is very soft with medium heft -- nice for cool mornings or evenings. I personally don't like tie robes -- knots are either too bulky or are constantly coming undone. The zipper makes for easy on/off and is a quick coverup for answering an early morning doorbell or making coffee with guests in the house.
The pockets are nice but the stretch in the fabric makes for a bulge at the hips, interferring with the drape. For comfort this robe is almost perfect -- for style....well, not so much.
By Skeeter from South Brunswick NJ on 08/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Warm & Cozy, Well Made Best Uses: Cool Nights, Lounging Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought for my Mom. Very nice mid-weight cotton robe.
It goes down to her ankles, she is about 5'1" tall.
Good fabric weight for Spring and Fall.
By dragonlady from G'ville, NV on 07/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Well Made Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love this robe, wish it was longer though. But will work well in fall and spring. Love zippered robes over belted robes! And the cotton fabric is beautiful...polyester robes are too staticky in our dry climate. Would have preferred a size large but the medium (all that was left) will work.
Comfortable, Attractive, Well-Made By JMK from Maryland on 06/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Warm & Cozy, Well Made Best Uses: After Baths, Cool Nights, Lounging Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, I hate most robes, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been searching for the perfect robe for several years now. A tie-at-the-waist robe is fine after a bath, but if I want to lounge in the evening I want something that looks decent on me and has at least a little bit of style. All I have been able to find "out there" is zip-up fleece that looks like you mother's robe or polyester caftans, both of which I dislike. Some years ago I had a brushed cotton robe that I loved. This robe came closer to what I have been looking for than any other.
By Princesschecki from Upstate New York on 06/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy-open zipper, Flattering colors-cut, Soft Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very happy to find a light-weight zippered Anne Lewin robe in the same design as my Lewin thicker fleece winter robe - which I love. This new robe will be equally loved. The cut i slimming, something a waist-less person can appreciate. The inside is wonderfully soft against the skin.
I only wish this robe had been as generously flaired towards the bottom as my winter robe.
Dear Anne Lewin, I would love to see more robes in this design!

By Yorkville Gal from Elizabethtown Pennsylvania on 05/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Luxurious, Soft, Well Made Best Uses: Cool Nights, Lounging Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I didn't thnk this type of garment was still made anywhere except maybe in Europe.....I like it.
I probably can use a size smaller but I wasn't sure if it would shrink.....doesn't matter.
I would like it in other colors and prints.
It would be too warm in summer. Would you please make a summer weight one in seersucker type fabric for me.....exact copy. Let me know.
Cotton?--More like light-weight fleece By Bliss from CT on 05/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Conservative, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: "Cotton" to me implied a lighter weight fabric to be used here in CT in the summer. This material is probably right for all seasons except summer. The material is similar to a light weight fleece-brushed on the inside. The sleeves have turned back cuffs that are at least 3" deep and after washing "flop" around as they are only tacked down in 2 spots. The seams pucker after washing suggesting that the robe should be ironed to look its best.
By Ellen from Indianapolis, IN on 04/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Well Made Best Uses: First thing in the mornin Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Other than above, the greatest feature of this robe is the front zipper. Also, I like the light cotton for summer wear.
