By bray1720 from Delta Junction, AK on 02/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't really had a chance to test on a hike, as it is still below zero, but it is comfortable and suprisingly warm for how thin it is. Lining is soft. With a fleece, I was comfortable at 0*F. Haven't worn in rain yet, but ran water over it in sink, and water beaded up and ran off. Couldn't even force water through it!
By Merrymonk from Easton, PA on 01/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Cons: Doesn't Breathe, Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a day hiker, we go out at least twice a week for 2-6 hour hikes and I purchased the jacket for this purpose. The jacket is extremely light weight, well made, durable, windproof. My only complaint is that it does lack features. Needs additional and larger pockets, a 2 way zipper would be nice and some side or under arm vents would be helpful. That being said, I would not hesitate purchasing another one.

Excellent as outer layer in cool, damp or snowy conditions. Go slightly smaller and use as under layer, true size as outer layer in colder weather to allow more room. Will not replace parka, but makes all trips with me.

Exactly what i was looking for: a lightweight, stylish shell that can be worn as easily out on the town as it could while hiking, skiing, or out on the water.

I use a Polar-Tec layer underneath of this Jacket to make it warmer. It's very good looking!
The sleeves seem unusually long.

It is lightweight and comfortable. I have not tried this jacket out in cold weather yet but it works great from 60-40 F .The pockets are well placed, all zip and they hold normal items (flashlight cell etc). I really cant see a downside.
