Unlikely looking, but Excellent!!! By Quickchuck from Oklahoma City, OK on 01/27/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: An unlikely find ... It even has ear and forehead flaps ... that work in Oklahoma winters. Just in time for this winters snow, ice and wind.
By Mark from Dunwoody, GA on 01/25/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Evening, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A while back I purchased a Tilley Air-Flow hat and am immensely pleased with it. Wanting something better suited to winter wear, I found this product and have found it perfect, save for one difference from my other hat. The Air-Flow has a couple of securely sewn straps that keep it on my head in high wind, but this product lacks them. It is, in every other respect, a great hat, and I intend to get years of good service from it. I may seek to customize it in some fashion as remedy, but will make do for now holding it with my hand during gusts.
I would but this product again. By Northeren CA outdoor girl from Chico, CA on 01/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Evening, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a Tilley fan and have had one of the hemp hats that I ware at all other times. It is great for travel, gardening, shopping and walking. I have needed a hat for the winter and this one does it.
By Jim from New Hampshire on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat is extraordinarily comfortable while I drive the car as well as when I'm shovelling the snow. It's super-warm and the drop-down ear flaps come in handy when the wind is blowing.
By tom terrific from Columbia missouri on 01/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The color goes will with the winter overcoat. It came crushed in the package and I have had difficulty getting the hat to keep its original form.
Another Tilley for my head By Greg from Buffalo, NY on 01/15/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Evening, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Classic styling, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This it my 3rd Tilley Hat and 2nd winter one. I'll use this one for more dressy occasions here in Buffalo, NY where winter lasts for months at a time. The cashmere look and feel will go nicely with my wool overcoat. The ear flaps are a little longer giving a little more coverage for my ears and neck. Comfortable, stylish, durable and I can shove it in the sleeve of my coat while at the restaurant. Brim is wide enough to cover the back of my neck and not let the snow & rain on my glasses
By Birder Joe from Phila., PA on 01/14/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've always liked Tilley hats for durability, flexibility, fit, style, and attitude. This one meets all my expectations, and looks terrific, but the down-turned rear brim is a little severe to easily clear tall/bulky collars.
Great looking winter hat & warm too. By Colorado Mike from Eagle/Vail, Co. on 01/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting Describe Yourself: Casual, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my 2nd Tilley. I have a summer hat and wanted something for the cold and snowy winter days here in the Colorado mountains. You don't have to settle for a boring ski hat for winter days. It is warm, keeps the snow from falling down your neck, and turns water if you get rained on. It fits just like my summer hat so I had no trouble getting the right fit.
Simply the BEST winter hat! By JR from Long Island, NY on 01/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Evening, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really love this hat. The style always gets comments, the fit and comfort is just great. Already bought another for a friend who is enjoying it too! Don't hesitate, buy it NOW!!
Excellent product, but TOO SMALL By hat lover from Winchester, MA on 01/07/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Evening, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Unfortunately I can't use the product and I also
convinced my friend to buy one. She also had to return it because of sizing problems.I used for sizing Tilley hat sizing,as I have other 4 Tilley hats, but these seem to have had this problem, for which reason they ended up here.Would have been nice to write a note:RUNS SMALL.That would have saved any aggravation returning the hat and not being able to replace it,as they sold out rapidly.
