Comments:
Great travel pants. I've always liked Gramicci pants for both active pursuits and for airplane travel, but the lack of a front zipper was always a drag. It's nice that Gramicci started to offer a version like this with a zipper. The zippered on-seam thigh pocket that's sized perfectly for a passport is awesome; it's designed such that you can access the pocket while seated. The material is perfect for travel; it packs well, dries quickly and seems to hold up well, although the material seems to suffer a bit from repeated machine washings; it's better to hand-wash them if you want them to last. Order one size larger than normal; they definitely run small. All in all, these are my favorite pants for travel. Three pair will get me through a one-month trip; I can wash them before going to sleep in my hotel room and they're almost always dry by morning.

My husband's favorite shorts
By durango jen from Durango, CO on 11/12/2009

Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Wear To Work
Describe Yourself:
Casual Dresser
Length:
Feels true to length
Waist:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
My husband loves these shorts as they are comfortable, quick drying, and look good for casual wearing and hiking, biking, etc... He wears a size 34-36 waist regularly; however he returned the larges of these for the extra larges instead to have more breathing room. He loves these shorts and has all the colors. I would say they run a size smaller, so order up a size if you don't want to be constricted in the waist; plus there is a drawstring belt if you need to tighten them up. I also notice they get slightly faded and discolored in spots;mostly in the gray and green colors, but it blends well and is not too noticeable. Over all a great pair of shorts.

Comments:
This is my second pair; I bought these for traveling and they haven't let me down, although they start to look shabby around the seams after just one three-week journey, but I guess that's the trade-off for the lightweight material.

Terribly made pants
By Just an avid outdoorsman from San Fran, ca on 11/03/2009
Cons:
Low Quality, Material Too Thin, Wrinkles Easily
Best Uses:
Belong in trash can
Describe Yourself:
Casual Dresser
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The zipper flap is made so narrow that the zipper is exposed. Pants are made of cheap fabric which wrinkles way too much even for casual wear. Just terribly made pants by Gramicci. They reflect negatively with STP's image of quality made goods.

Beware: serious size problems
By LAB DVM from West Palm Beach, FL on 10/22/2009

Cons:
Poor Fit
Best Uses:
Casual Wear
Describe Yourself:
Casual Dresser
Length:
Feels too short
Waist:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Ordered for my boyfriend. He wears a Large in this sytle of pants from other manufacturers and another style of Gramicci. These pants were labeled "L" but that is a JOKE. I wear a medium in womens Gramicci's and these pants are too small for me. I read the reviews unfortunately after purchase. Other reviews talk about them being too long - had these fit in the waist, they would have been too short. I believe the reviewer who said he was on the 3rd pair of the "same" size - that were all different sizes.IF these had been sized correctly, the style and fabric would have been perfect for south FL.[...]

This item was labeled medium, but the fit was extra small. Gramicci seems to have consistent quality control problems.
