Just another brand to stay away By Just an avid outdoorsman from San Fran, ca on 11/03/2009 Cons: Bulky, Poor Fit, Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Too hard to put on to take off without an elastic waistband for pants that don't have front zipper. I should have stayed with known brands like Mountain Hardwear, Northface, and Marmot but they are only sold out or left with odd sizes. STP please stock up your inventories.
By Bootboiler from Santa Cruz on 10/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Tough Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I read that some had issue with the belt slipping. Had they bought the right size pants, I doubt they would have had this issue because the waist is elastic. Regardless, I bought a few pair, and one had a different belt with more friction than the others. I am sure the new belt will hold a large pair of pants on a small body. I don't find them to be particularly good for climbing, maybe for some boldering around the camp site. I prefer lightweight, stretchy, nylon pants on the rock.
By Cap'n Chucky from Cape Cod on 10/27/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are my 4th and 5th pair of Gramiccis, so I pretty much knew what to expect. They fit well, they look good, they have two pockets in back (took Gramicci forever to figure that out). If they could find a way to add a fly, they'd be perfect.
Glad to see the originals are back!! By Hayden from Foothills of the Smokies on 10/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Fabric is bombproof, Great for Climbing, Great freedom of movement, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Tailored enough for town Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Finely made enough for causal wear yet show their true value after 12 hours in a climbing harness; no chafing -- they feel almost seamless. I have Gramicci's that are 20 years old.
By charlos from Santa Fe, NM on 10/24/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Around the house
Thick fabric, flattering cut, good price By Online shopper from Georgia on 10/19/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was skeptical because of the heavy fabric and bunchy waistband, but when my husband tried them on, they looked good on him and he found them comfortable. It's a little weird that they don't have a fly--I guess they're kind of like cotton track pants!
