Pants ok except for inadequate belt. By Senior Surfer from Cary, NC on 03/30/2009 Cons: Belt supplied no good Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have had Gramacci pants before and purchased from you. 1st Pair: Great. 2nd pair has weird pocket arrangements. 3rd Pair(this review): Built in belt inadequate for job (lots of stretch material at waist). Belt is supposed to hold stretch material in place but it does not as belt slips in its buckle. Plan to remove belt and install a better one.
By Jennifer from Seattle WA on 03/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tall women (like me) will find that going DOWN one size in the men's version will get you the longer inseam you need. The original G style fits just as well in men's, just slightly tighter in the thigh. (but not too tight, they fit fine over my heavy cyclist's thighs)
By Pat from Buchanan, MI 49107 and Granby, CO 80447 on 03/24/2009 Cons: Poor Fit, Poor Material or Construction, See comments below Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered what I thought were the same Grammici pants as my husband already had.I wanted gray and there were no color samples so I chose "stone" as a color. They were a light tan. Also neither the fabric nor the cut seemed the same. They were too full through the rear and legs; whereas the others draped beautifully and the earlier fabric just seemed to shed stains and always look good.
By Beaker from Bel Air, MD on 02/11/2009 Cons: Poor Material or Construction Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Gramicci usually makes a great product! Sadly, I had to return these pants to Gramicci due to poor construction of the belt. Gramicci replaced the belt for free with no shipping charge. I would recommend any of Gramicci's products yet these pants were a real let down!
By Couch Potato from Alaska on 02/10/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfortable, but too short.
By Eddie from South Fla on 01/25/2009 Cons: Belt comes loose soon aft, Fastening very irritatin, Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I loved my last pair, but the new one is not of the same quality. The 'built in' belt comes loose almost as soon as you cinch it where you want. Thus, the pants are always feeling like they're about to fall off. Very irritating and dissapointing.
"Not what they used to be." By John from Arcata, CA on 01/11/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Cons: Downgrade in belt materia, Poor Fit, Smaller waist than previ Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants were great in the past -- I own 5 pair and love them. The two most recent pair I bought may have been made by some other manufacturer: belt is now of thinner material and won't stay flat inside the waist. The waist fit is now smaller, and the pockets have less room. I am returning them.
By Otter from Chico on 01/10/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought two pair of mediums. I am 5' 10' about 175 lbs. I am swimming in the pants. They are way too big for me ~ both too long and too baggy. I like the style but next time I'd buy smalls.
By Dan Sensei from Vancouver, WA on 01/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Cons: Poor Fit, Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used this style and brand of pants for many years for general activity, exercise, and martial arts kata (forms). Previously, I was very satisified. The fit is not as good as it used to be. It is too large in the waist and too long in the length (I measured). The belt is too slippery and will not hold its position. I am constantly tightening it. I won't buy them again.
