It is soft, warm and does a great job of wicking moisture away as I use mine for playing soccer with the german womens soccer, and running in the cold too, so I know they do the job!

More like expedition weight By MT mom from Montana on 09/01/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old. It's very nice and good quality but is quite heavy. I ordered the mid-weight expecting it to be lighter weight than the expedition weight bottoms I got previously, but I can't tell any difference between the two. It will be nice and cozy but might be a bit much under a winter coat except on the coldest days. We may wear it as an outer layer on chilly days.
