"Not only Fishing Gloves" By Jenny from Lake Orion, MI on 11/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for photography in cool to cold weather. While most gloves are too bulky to turn the controls on a camera, these gloves give you warmth on the hands while freeing up the fingers to change settings.

By Carole May from Bellingham, WA on 02/01/2009 Pros: Nice and warm, Rugged, Stylish Best Uses: Bad Weather, Casual Wear, Outdoor Photography Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a photographer and specialize in whale photography. I bought these as it can get VERY cold on the boat, especially when photographing the gray whales in March and April. They are terrific! They have a grip type surface on the palms which is great for holding the camera, and when I am shooting, I pull back the mitten part so that my fingers can maneuver the controls. I know they were meant for fishing, but I highly recommend them to any type of outdoor photographer!
By ShoppaHaulic from Columbia,SC on 01/20/2009 Pros: Easy Velcro for Flip-Top, Rugged, Stylish Best Uses: Bad Weather, Casual Wear, Cold weather, Need to Use Fingers Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my husband who is a TV news photographer. So, he is out all over in very cold weather & needs to stay warm as possible, but needs to be able to use his fingers to operate camera. These are so great! He loves them! They fit well, they are warm, flexible yet the palms have non-slip grip pads so he can grasp without hands slipping, the flip-top mittens are so easy to cover and uncover fingers quickly because of the velcro, and, the black color and the style are actually surprisingly really nice-looking too! I cannot say enough about just how useful yet comfortable & easy to use these are. [...]!Thank you so much Sierra Trading Post!!!
By Beth the runner from eastern PA on 01/19/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, Good Protection from Rain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use them when running. By ZH from Louisiana on 01/01/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these for barn chores and hunting. They fit well and are warm. They would be perfect if there was a full thumb - but,of course, they are fishing gloves.
By jg from WI on 01/01/2009 Cons: Inadequate Protection from the Elements Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well, these are definitely fishing gloves, not really meant for outdoor play/work like we had hoped. We had gotten others that did have thumbs covered and were hoping these might too, but apparently not...fingers do stay fairly warm though in the elements. Wished website would've specificed or showed a better pic of the thumb part.
