It's still too cold to wear it in Beijing. I guess the jacket is for a warmer season like spring or autume.

First jacket you'll pack for any trip By Roverdds from Banner Elk, NC on 01/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Total kick-butt jacket for the price. Subtle Arcteryx markings on armadillo color makes for perfect recognition by those who actually know the product...not screaming poser/lodge wear logo garbage. Wear in the 40's with a coolmax base alone, or layer w/a waterproof shell for almost any condition. Looks good after being packed tight. Simplify your load.
By Midwestish Guy from Mankato, KS on 01/16/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The day this arrived it was about six degrees. I decided to give it a try then and there. The fit is a tad snug, and it's supposed to be, but there's enough room for a shirt and chunky sweater underneath. I can say that in single-digit weather and moderate activity this is warm enough.
Cons are that the sleeves are close-fitting. Part of the point of the garment, but it limits layering options. In addition, the handwarmer pockets seem underprotected.
I've used the same Arc'teryx backpack every day for about eight years. Hopefully I'll see the same resilience from this.
By Dustin from Louisville, KY on 01/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Water Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is perfect for cool to cold weather, and will keep you safe from the elements in a pinch. If you happen to get caught in the wind or rain, all the zippers are waterproof and windproof, and the jacket material is water resistant. You can see the rain bead up on the outside. The jacket has a fleece lining, so it provides some warmth, but this is not a jacket to used alone for extremely cold temperatures. If combined with an additional fleece, you should be in good shape though.
The fit is perfect for tall / athletic build. The sleeves are very long (perfect for me at 6'5"), and the chest and abdominal areas contour well with the body, while still giving great maneuverability.
By Colorado Runner Girl from Colorado Springs on 11/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband bought this to wear alone or under his Lowe Alpine PacLite jacket. It's his NEW FAVORITE jacket and has it on ALL the time! He'll claim it's worth every penny and that this is a great deal! He likes the fit, how comfortable it is, and the warmth it provides.
By Jowee from Chicago on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really great coat for the price. [...] I was expecting it to be a bit warmer. The sleeves are a tad bit long, which is why I went with the M instead of the L. It's tighter but overall a better fit.
