Versatile and pretty jacket By careful shopper from Albuquerque, NM on 11/12/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is such a pretty jacket that the picture does not do it justice. The nubby fabric is attractive and the cut is easy to wear and comfortable. It really dresses up a plain pair of slacks when paired with a knit top, but is neutral and casual at the same time. This jacket is versatile for work or going out.
Wonderful sale price added to the value. I think I made a smart purchase.

I ordered it in hope that it will fit, but it was too small. Had to return it.

The fabric is a little scratchy, but if it were lined, it would be too hot (I live in Phoenix). It's classic and jazzy at the same time.

It's a little larger in fit than I expected; if you are between sizes you might want to size down for a trimmer fit. This is the kind of item that can be worn with jeans or with dressy slacks, depending on the occasion. Also you can wear it open with a camisole underneath to make it more casual. It's very modest but still has some sense of style, so it's great for business dinners or travel situations. It's unlined so it will be a nice summer "going out" option. I will probably change the buttons as they are not quite "special" enough for my taste, but all in all I'm very pleased with this purchase and expect it to be in my wardrobe for decades to come. Please note that the darker stripe in the print is a dark chocolate brown, not black as I expected; but it's so dark that the jacket can certainly be worn with black slacks and will not clash.

It is unlined, but the fabric and cut give it a nice structure--no shoulder pads, so if you have narrow shoulders and rely on them to fill out a tailored jacket, you'll have to add them. I love the slimming cut, without extra padding to add bulk. The vertical stripes are an additional plus. The jacket's interior seams are bound in dark brown, but it looks great paired with black or charcoal, too. The golden champagne sheen makes it dressy if you want it to be, but the shirt-style and texture can be accessorized to bring it back to a fairly casual level. Great value!

Heavy weight material with a silky sheen that drapes well. Could be worn with beige, brown, or black slacks for a dressy look. Only cons are dry clean only, and it doesn't stretch, a bit of which I'd like through the shoulders. I'm keeping it, it's so pretty and versatile.
