Comments:
This is my 2nd review of these. Jan 21 09 was the first. 2 weeks ago was the first time in the rain I skied for over 3 hours the gloves got heavy but my hands stayed dry. Wish the cuff's on the Cloudvail RPK stayed as dry. This past weekend I started out in the grip side, but as I went up on the lift it got colder and windier, glad I could just slip my hands into the warm chamber. Yea it takes a couple of seconds to expand the chamber when you switch sides but I have no issues with size or the grip handle. I bought med and they still fit fine. I have worn these gloves I would guess about 30 day's so far.

The dual use is great- they never really seemed to get wet. Sealed well- the leather grips start off a little cold- but warm up well...

The gloves overall are a nice design with great features. Only downside was that the pull tab on the inner glove ripped off upon first tug. POOR feature. it then made it harder to pull that inner glove on.

Get a size or two larger
By Bicycle CommuterVerified Reviewer from Boston, MA on 03/08/2009
Pros:
Warm, Windproof
Best Uses:
Bicycle commuting
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living
Sizing:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I've previously worn a medium Grandoe glove, but the large on this model was too small. I had to exchange for an extra-large to fit my hands. The gloves are warmer than my previous gloves, but still not quite warm enough for bicycle commuting in 5 degree F weather. The gloves do not come with a liner, but adding in a glove liner does make the gloves warm enough for all but the coldest weather. It hasn't been warm enough for me to try out the grip chamber yet.

I used them skiing in 20F weather in the "grip" mode and my hands stayed warm and dry. This is unusual because my hands tend to sweat.

Skied two consecutive days with these gloves - first was a cold, snowy, windy day and the warm slot worked great. The next morning was bright and sunny, and the cooler slot was plenty warm. Brilliant innovation - so simple and convenient.
