By twinki1265 from Bozeman, MT on 06/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Sporty, Versatile Cons: Slightly tight instep Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like these shoes. I typically wear a 6.5 and went with the suggestion to go 1/2 size larger and I'm glad I did. They might be a little uncomfortable on anyone with a high instep. I find them very comfortable and supportive. I wear them to work and stand on a concrete floor all day without discomfort. Thinking of getting another pair in a different color.
By Pickles from Pacific Grove, CA on 05/31/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable Cons: Straps are too loose Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Cute shoes, and they're comfortable. The downside is that the strap closures feel like they could be tighter with a little more elastic, and they feel like they will not hold my feet in the shoes very well if I were to run, etc,,, in the months to come. I could be wrong, but that is the only negative that I can find.
By Mary from Wisconsin on 05/27/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are great. Casual yet look nice with a pair of kayak's. I ordered a 1/2 size larger like the catalog said, but ended up returning those for a 1/2 size smaller. I do not recommend ordering 1/2 larger.
By Morgan from Vancouver, WA on 05/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear 5 1/2 but thought I could get away with a size 6 because the style of the shoe would keep it from falling off. It's too big to be comfortable, so I'm sending it back. It is cute and fun, though, so people who can find the right size will probably enjoy it.
Most shoes on STP are not available in size 5 or European size 35, which is very disappointing!
By Barb from Austin, TX on 05/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are awesome. I wore them for the first time all day. Needed no break in period. I first saw these in two other company catalogs. I was happy to see them in Sierra Trading Post [...] I bought the light beige color and applied Scotch Guard on them right away, because they most likely would eventually stain. After applying, they dried back to their original shade with no darkening..so this process is safe if you have a pair and want to protect them from dirt & liquid.I wear these ALOT and they really do feel like I'm wearing my sneakers...
By Sylvia from Ohio on 04/24/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had hoped these shoes would work around town, with slacks, shorts, and casual dresses. I liked the look, but they run like Salomons -- a half size large. If I could tighten the strap, maybe I could get away with it. But they're going back -- maybe a half size smaller will help.
By sr from chicago on 04/13/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are super comfortable, they don't breath very well though. The first couple times i wore them they rubbed on the strap but they are very good now.
By M from CA on 04/13/2009 Cons: Irregular Fit, Upper strap too tight Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like these shoes. They seemed to fit fine (please follow Sierra Trading Post instructions and order 1/2 size larger - I didn't and had to exchange mine more a larger size) when I first put them on. However, after wearing them for awhile, the upper strap on both shoes cut into my upper foot, and I had to take the shoes off. I don't have a wide foot, so I imagine that it would be even more of a problem to someone with a wide foot. I haven't returned them yet, in hopes that I can somehow stretch the upper straps to make them a little bit longer. However, I don't think I will have much luck, since the straps are canvas, backed in suede. Maybe I can get the elastic to stretch some. Anyway, I would love the shoes, if it weren't for this problem with the upper straps. I am hoping that I don't have to return them.
By Wendy walker from Ecuador on 04/12/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in Ecuador. Currently I cannot rate the product, as I had it mailed to a State side address. I will be able to view the shoes when I get there in June. I will say your [...] reps do a get job in communicating information about mailing...good job! I will be using the shoes hiking in the mountains, etc and walking on cobblestone and dirt streets. I am confident I have a shoe to meet the need. I have purchased products in the past and have been happy with most of the merchandise I have purchased. Thank you, Donna King
