I wore this fishing in a stream and hiking on sand dunes. It is versatile and

The shorts button into the skirt to wear together and I had no problems attaching the two together as some reviewers mentioned. The shorts are a bit shorter and I think they will be fine in Hawaii. Pockets would be nice but the simplicity of the design wouldn't allow for bulging fabric. Nice fit!

It worked great for that purpose. I wore it several days and it looked great. I don't love the color and have a hard time finding tops to coordinate, but overall it's a great, comfy, cute skort. One more thing about the fit--I usually wear a size 8, but ordered a 10 and it rides on my hips (which I prefer) and at 5'10" it hits about 3.5 in. above my knee to cover the less than lovely saddlebags while allowing free movement and a little leg.

Perhaps I should drop a few pounds. In any event, I've only tried it on, haven't worn it yet. I got it for bicycle touring so I could ride in it but also maybe wear it out to a restaurant at night and look nice. Being over 50, I would have liked it a little longer

Overall, it worked great. It was very comfortable and dryed very quickly when it got wet. It was nice to wear the skirt around the camp and in the boat, but when I wanted to get wet, I used only the shorts. In other words, great for those who are a bit more modest. The only two drawbacks I saw are 1. it doesn't have any pockets and 2. the buttons that hold the skirt onto the shorts are a bit difficult to do and undo. I ended up not rebuttoning to the shorts and the skirt still managed to stay on right, though!

It's cute and comfortable and is unique in that it is a pair of shorts plus a wrap-around type skirt too. I had never seen a product like this before. I would recommend it as a fun thing to wear and it can even be dressed up a bit too for a casual night out.
