Great pants until............. By Johnny from Vermont on 07/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I owned these for a couple of months and loved them. Great in hot weather, lightweight. The problem was the cheap plastic zipper which just fell apart in the wash one day. Other wise they were great.

By Charlie Cat from ex-Oregon in Indiana on 04/20/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I picked up these pants here (great deal) and a pair of Kuhl travel pants (REI--spendy) to help me keep ahead of my students on an Italy trip. I've not hiked in them yet, so I can't speak to the breathability. Seem fine--since it is mostly cotton (why I bought them).
I like the finish of the Columbia, but the fit is not quite as loose & comfy as the Kuhls (but they have a gappy zipper placket--beware!). Probably true to size...as I need to get some more walking in.

I knew that they were long, but had hems adjusted to fit.

Packable, light weight, long inseam By Toca La Guitarra from San Diego on 03/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good feel and drape, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the other review about the 32" inseam being long enough for a guy that's used to 34" and it sold me. Very true. I fell in love with these out of the box. They have a very versatile look that can be dressed up or down depending on what you pair them with. Travelers like myself are always looking to pack less, wear more than once in a different setting, and be comfortable on long overseas flights. These pants fit the bill.
By Browning Guy from Central Minnesota on 03/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These transition nicely from my office to the sporting clay range, to a social setting. Very comfortable, and according to the Mrs, very nice looking pants.
Lightweight Comfortable Pants By Sarin69 from Cleveland, OH (USA) on 02/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great pants for the price. The cut and design is less bland travel pants and more casual, hip, and compatable which means they can be worn with multiple shirts during one trip. I love packing less to do more!! I usually try to buy pants with a 34" inseam but the 32" inseam on these fit well enough for a guy 6'2".
Comfortable and good looking By Fisher-man from Wenatchee, WA on 02/15/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great fabric, nice comfortable cut that looks a bit nicer that just jeans, easy to pack for travelilng. A tumble through the dryer gets wrinkels out easily.
