Cargo shorts are actually swim trunks By boatman from Edgewater, FL on 06/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Looks great Best Uses: Boating, Swimming Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Why are these discontinued? They are the best looking shorts/swim trunks you can buy! You can wear these around town or on the boat and they look like any other cargo shorts, but with the inner mesh and quick drying material they are actually great swim trunks also.

More nice casual wear from Columbia... By CoachRick from Austin, TX on 05/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: More high quality from Columbia...fit and workmanship are top notch. I especially like the elastic belt included with some of the Columbia shorts(including these)...much more comfortable and flexible for golf, driving or other 'bending, twisting' activities. As for the last couple of years, Columbia includes lots o' pockets...many with closures...some I'll likely never use! I do miss the small cell-phone 'slot' from some of the other short styles. This XL fits a 40-42" waist(that's me)...much better look than going to a XX. For all the material in the layers of pockets and the mesh liner, shorts dry quickly...another plus!

Not a bad buy for the price, but if you can find a better brand for the same price I would suggest it.
