These were my one pair of shorts for the trip and they worked well. Light-weight, easy wash & dry, and comfortable. I also like the zip side pockets which created a better sense of security, since I was in some places where pick-pockets are a problem. You might want to order one size smaller; since mine seemed large.

These shorts did not seem to meeet these high standards. The cut is off in the crotch and the waist band seems flimsy.

They are a bit long in the leg, reaching to the top of the knee, but they are true to size. I am between sizes and I went large to make sure I had plenty of room in the leg. They are light weight, with vented and zippered pockets, so you could swim in them. Tough but lightweight nylon material
