By run for fun from Buckingham, VA on 10/21/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Not Water Resistant, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Muddy Conditions Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These fit my normal-narrow feet with a normal-high arch very well. I like the lacing system, curious to see how it lasts. My main complaint is that the cushioning under the forefoot is not as good as some other trail runners I've used, which is an issue for me, but it is fine under the heel. High toe box makes them feel roomier without buying a larger size. Traction is good enough for muddy, rocky, rooty trails if you don't mind feeling everything.
By The true boss from Utah on 10/07/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: At The Gym, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great shoe. I have high arches and this shoes gives me better support than Nike and Asics. I also have a narrow foot and bunion. It does not have as much cushion which made me worry. I have worn these shoes for about 2 months almost everyday and I feel the support is much better than my other shoes (Nike and Ascis). My bunion hurts much less. I noticed this shoes has much better traction. I would recommend this for indoor and outdoor use. I found the shoe to be true to size. Thanks Sierra trading Post.
By Walker of Dog from Wisconsin on 09/09/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Tie mechanism loosened up at times. Back side of shoe rubbed very uncomfortably against heel initially causing blister.
Not enough support for flat feet By jap from richmond, va on 08/28/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a nice looking shoe, but the shoe laces did not allow the shoe to be adjusted to my comfort level. Not enough support for flat feet.
By The Great Outdoors from Boulder, CO on 08/22/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Biker, Trail Jogger, Yogini Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Saloman has done it again...made a great shoe that provides stability, support, and yet is light and great looking. It is better in the warm months than a boot. I regularly use this shoe for hiking on a steep and uneven trail and find it sure-footed. I like the fact that the sole is slightly stiff (as opposed to a running shoe) since it will hold up better over time and provide good stability.
I won't consider another sneaker. By Rouge the Boardwalk Walker. from Syosset, N.Y. on 08/14/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my fourth pair of Solomon sneakers. I won't consider anything else. I love the laces, comfort and cool look of the sneaker. However, they did irritate the back of my feet the first time I wore them for about a 5 mile City walk. I could have been the socks that I wore.
