Her feet blister very easily. These Paddas have quite alot of cushion on the major rub points of the foot. She recently spent 4 days in them on a backpacking trip, both in the water and on short day hikes and not a single blister. Because of the extra padding, they dont dry quite as quickly as some others but well worth it if you have sensitive feet. Also, they are very lightweight, making for a great versitile backpacking shoe once you get to where you are going and want to get out of your boots.

comfortable but not quick drying By happycruiser from Atlanta, GA on 05/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight Cons: Difficult On and Off Best Uses: Boating, Kayaking, Rafting, Sailing, Wading Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought a pair of Paddas for a cruise in the Caribbean. Walked into water with them, kayaked and walked around in the ruins. I was wearing them without socks for watersports, but for longer walks I had to put socks on to avoid blisters. They have almost no arch support and no cushioning. Would not use these Paddas for hiking, there is not enough arch support. People with high arches have a difficulty with water shoes in general due to lack of arch support in this type of shoe. Padda is one of the best options out there even with these typical limitations of water shoes. So far it is the best water shoe that I have tried. Yet, they took a long time to dry even in the hot Caribbean sun. On average it took 24 hours to dry. My husband also had a pair of the same Padda shoe for men and his took the same long time to dry.
Good For Hiking in Wet Conditions By DuckMom from Pacific Northwest on 04/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Kayaking, Rafting, Wading, Walking/Hiking Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed lightweight close-toed water shoes for hikes with stream crossings. I researched and tried a few different models of sport sandals and water shoes before settling on the North Face Prada. I purchased a full size smaller than my typical shoe size (11), which turned out to be perfect. I have a narrow foot and was able to lace these tightly and still have plenty of room in the toe box to move my toes. I wore these right out the box, with thin socks, on two hikes. While they are not as comfortable as padded running shoes, they feel fine -- no blisters -- and should be perfect for wet hiking conditions.

These shoes fill the bill to perfection.

Photographers get their feet wet all the time in the wild - we need shoes that dry quickly, can keep your feet warm standing long times waiting for 'the shot'.
Fits great - correct size.
