Best hiking shoe I have found! By Rez Walker from Gallup, NM on 11/14/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these shoes to the bottom of the Grand Canyon on Labor Day weekend. With good socks on I had a good hike in/out. Good traction going down the steep pack horse trails. The next weekend I hiked Half Dome at Yosemite (20.4 mi roundtrip). If I can get another pair I will. They are the best. I bought 1/2 size larger to accommodate toes being scunched on steep trails.
By AL from Minneapolis on 09/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been looking for lightweight hiking boots and these almost worked perfectly. The top of the boot digs into my ankle bone very uncomfortably. I might have strange ankles, and if that's the case, then for anyone else, these boots would be great. They seemed really well made, sturdy but flexible. I'm really disappointed I have to send them back.
