Comments:
I'm usually a small but go for medium when I need to layer, but with this jacket I have plenty of room in the small for a thin layer and a medium fleece so I'm really pleased. The shell is fairly thin so when it's cold you need the layering room for sure, but it's also great at holding in your body heat AND breathing so you don't get sweaty. Best of both. Pretty impressive. Water beads on the surface so it's definitely very water resistant. The removable snow skirt and hood are great features and it's hard to find a solid soft shell that offers those.

Comments:
I'd been looking for a soft shell jacket with a hood, longer length, & fleece lining that will be good for spring, fall & cool summer nights. This one fits the bill. The hood is a little big & flops over the face but is easily adjustable with the built-in toggle system. Sleeves are pretty long but they do keep your hands warm :-) No gloves needed! I usually wear a medium, sometimes a large, so I went with the large size just to be safe. I'm glad I did because it has room for a sweatshirt under but fits fine with just a t-shirt, too, not bulky at all. I've worn this in the rain and stayed nice & dry under. Good ventilation with the pit zips, a pocket in the back hip area was a nice surprise, great for storing those soft bulky items. The color looks a little different in person, more of a medium blue than the steel/gray blue pictured online.

Very disappointed. This jacket was just what I've been looking for, but was no where close to fitting. If you are going to order, get at least one size larger than you think you need.

This is a really nice jacket, but the sizing is a little funny. It runs slim in the hips and the sleeves are a little long, but that is by design, so that the sleeves still cover your wrists when you are skiing, poling on snowshoes, etc. But that does make the sleeves a little bulky. I am a true medium, but saw that many people said it ran small, so ordered the large--it was too big. Huge in the shoulders and the sleeves were long enough for my husband, who is 5'11''. So I exchanged for the medium. It is great in the shoulders, with enough room to layer. It is a trim silhouette, which is looks nice, but makes it a little tight in the hips for layering. I am curvy, so someone with skinny hips would find this jacket perfect. A fleece jacket and vest work okay, but a down jacket underneath could be too bulky. All the features are solid; the hood adjusts in two directions, pockets are great. It is a little thicker than a normal shell, so a bit warmer, though I haven't tested it in bad conditions. Perfect for aerobic activities like back country skiing when you are moving enough to not need too many layers.

I like this jacket a lot. The fabric is durable and the jacket keeps out the never ending Wyoming wind. I love the color and the style, its a very flattering jacket. The only bummer after wearing the jacket, off and on for two months, the seam tape started to pull away at the back bottom of the jacket. Thank goodness OR has such a good guarantee policy on their products. I called them and they said to send it right in for repair or replacement. I like all of OR products and have never had any problems any of their stuff, up until this point. Will still purchase from them, even with this defective jacket situation.

Comments:
I was looking for a waterproof, breathable jacket for spring skiing, and this probably would have been a fine choice if the sizing wasn't so odd. A medium usually fits me; sometimes I buy a small if I want a snugger look. A medium in this jacket was uncomfortably snug. Ordering a size larger wasn't an option since the sleeves on the medium were several inches too long.

Comments:
I like this jacket very much but the sizing seemed to be more geared to fit men: narrow in the hips and chest and overly large and roomy in the shoulders. But the jacket appears very well constructed with good material. No loop for a lift ticket, though! I think, overall, that this is a great find for the price and was happy to have it last weekend when it was cold and rainy.

Love, love, love this jacket. My one pet peeve of women's ski jackets nowadays (in an attempt to make them cut for women instead of smaller sized men's garments) is that they end up being short and so contoured at the waist that movement is restricted. I've tried a million jackets in an attempt to find the perfect one. I'm so glad I've finally found it...i was getting tired of searching. This jacket has it all: helmet-compatible hood that IS helmet-compatible, sleek design that does not forfit range of motion, pockets for skins, gear, etc, high chin guard that has fleece lining, fleece lined inside, fully seam taped, fully waterproof, breathable, durable, good colors, LENGTH!!!!(hits at butt) and powderskirt (although it's mesh so i've never understood how that material could hold out snow..but it's a powderskirt none-the-less). The one thing that seems to ring true with many testers is the sizing. I am usually a small-medium. I bought a large as i need room for various layers depending on conditions. Large fits fine but I am also going to order the medium to compare. I tried the medium on a while ago and i remember it fitting but with little to no room for layering...so we'll see. Large is def. not too big I just want to make sure i can get the nonbulkiest size possible for me. Even my husband was jealous of this coat!

This is a solid jacket. Love that the hood is big enough to fit over a helmet but can be cinched to fit just the head too. In addition to being a great performance item it's very stylish.
