By ricesinice from Newengland on 09/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice and warm. Fits a little small so there will not be too much layering but, with an outer shell, it should be warm enough for most conditions.
The price is right also.
warm but no stitching on bottom hem By camping in AK from Davis, CA on 08/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Cons: No stitching on bottom Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pros: comfortable, feels good layered in super cold weather with wind (was in AK for several weeks), longer sleeves keeps my gloves on, good pockets (can keep pocket knife and tissues in breast zip.)
Cons: The hem on the bottom of the jacket is glued, not stitched. After washing it twice (as directed), I realized this, as the glue and hem is coming undone, revealing the elastic cord underneath. This is really sad as the quality of the fabric (windstopper) and design of the jacket is great. It sucks that it is assembled rather badly! My husband has a similar (Marmot) jacket...and the bottom hem is stitched. He has had his for years...no issues. I like OR products, but this makes me angry about the quality.
By KH from northwest on 04/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Simple, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Field work, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am extremely happy with this jacket. I've been looking for a cheap, quality, versatile fleece for field work and adventuring, and was having a heck of a time. I gave this one a shot, and am impressed by the simplicity and functionality of this jacket, especially at this price. No flashy logos, color (i got blue) is pretty but not over-the-top. Flattering, form fitting cut (more-so than photo suggests), good for an athlectic figure. If you want more room to layer, order a size up. Inside finish is so soft - feels cozy with a tee shirt. Only con for me - collar is a bit too low to tuck my chin in and is quite narrow when zipped up all the way - keep in mind if you like a roomy collar. Quite wind proof and warm with 2 thin layers in chilly/windy conditions. I love the pit zips!! A perfect way to vent some heat without stripping layers, which really gets old. And they dont create extra bulk in the armpits. Inner wind-proof zipper flap runs the whole length of the zipper - totally awesome. Washes well, and seems like it will last a good long time. Definite keeper!
By Sven from the North from Mn. on 04/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My wife is 5'4" and athletically built and this fits just right. There is nothing like a windstopper jacket to put on after a cool weather waterski run. She also wears it out & about in the early Mn. spring, and will likely use it for XC skiing. Better than average pocket array for a woman's jacket.
Jcaket runs small - I ordered a M By still wanting a jacket from philadelphia, pa on 03/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Inadequate Protection, Not Enough Pockets or Features Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I usuall wear a M - it was too tight so I ordered a L. The L was actually smaller than the M - must have been mis marked. I sent both jackets back.
Don't judge a book by its cover. By Dog walker from Chico, CA on 02/26/2009 Cons: Need room for a swetter o Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this jacket for a bike ride or walk in the park. I like the look and it is easy to ware. There is no room for any more under garments then a T shirt which makes it less versatile.
By Moss from S.E. TN on 02/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket has been extremely effective in breaking the wind during hour-long power walks this winter. Its vents are more than adequate to let off some "steam" when I get huffing up the hills. I've worn it almost nonstop in 20 to 50 degree weather and am very glad to have it instead of the old fleece that I was using.
By Warm in Half Moon Bay from Half Moon Bay, CA on 02/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice jacket to wear when walking the dog or going to the grocery store. Super-warm fleece. Excellent quality, lovely colors. I order both. I'm 5'8" 130lbs. The sleeves fit perfectly, so they might be a little long for a shorter person. I'm between a 34 & 36B, and the small could have been a bit roomier in the bust. Over all: a fitted, stylish look without being over-the-top technical. And my personal preference, no glaring logo(s) detracting from its' look.
By kate from houghton, mi on 02/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice in that it's windproof, but I wish the jacket in general and the sleeves were a little longer (I'm tall). Also, the sleeve openings are a little wide and not adjustable. The chest area might be tight if you're larger in that area.
