I wear it under my Lowe Alpine Zeitgeist shirt and they are toasty and because it is form fitting-no cold air gaps. Get one today.
By Kate the long torsoed from Lafayette, Indiana on 11/17/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Athletics, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Active, Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical, Trendy Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I never got to use this shirt because the moment I put it on I knew it was not going to work. The shirt did fit like a glove, the sleeves felt wonderful. But the its a very short shirt with an ELASTIC band that tightens around the waist. I'm 5'8" and purchased the medium. It fit great around the bust and shoulders, sleeves were nice and long. But the moment I put my arms over my head the waist shot up uncomfortably above my natural waist line. I do not think a large would help the situation. Short short short!!!

I am usually a small but this feels like a girdle so I am returning for a large. I think it will be nice and warm for working in a warehouse -- just order at least one size bigger unless you want to feel confined.
By Christine from Santa Fe, NM on 11/13/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Athletics, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have worn this shirt a few times, during soccer and short hikes--great wicking properties and a flattering, body-conscious fit. Quality seems excellent (made in Germany!). My only complaint is that the shirt is on the short side so it has a tendency to ride up on the waist, but perhaps a larger size would alleviate that. Overall, very pleased--I even bought another one.
By Jen Austin from Austin, TX on 11/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an extremely trim-cut, smooth-fitting shirt that could be used as a snug work-out top or as a thermal layer under other clothes. If you want to wear it alone, you should size up because it fits like a glove. It is not binding, but it is more like a second skin and will show every lump and bump. Both the small and medium sizes are very snug on me, and I am very slender. I will keep them because they are nicely made, but beware that they are super small.
By gator from washington on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Athletics, Outdoor Activites Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great shirt. bought the medium although i generally buy small. The review said it ran small and boy does it. The shirt will not stay down over my stomach when i run. It wants to ride up and sit under my girls. No good when you are running and SUPER annoying. Perhaps go big and that won't happen. I simply tuck it in to my pants or shorts while running. Good thing you don't use your arms a lot during a long run or else i would take the thing off and run naked instead of dealing with the shirt.
By veverka from PA on 07/25/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Athletics, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Sporty, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have to say – I’m not review person; I do not write “poems”. For the most part I always enjoy (or not) the purchase over the internet. Sierra got me – because I found the reviews very helpful while ordering.
I have to agree with one of the comments - this top really fells like glove!
In my first order with Sierra I purchased small and medium to see which one would fit. Funny part is – both did. I’m 5’2 and 122lb. I loved it so much I bought second time in different styles and colors seven more pieces (combination of small and medium, whatever was available). Maybe, maybe I will let one or two go as Christmas present.
If you are into winter sports I would say: go for it while you can! It is so thin and so warm and the feeling on the skin is so soft! It is amazingly flexible and takes little to none layering space (every skier knows it is easy to look and feel like onion and still be cold!! – Not any more with Lowe Alpine items! Skiers, check the other Lowe Alpine layers! This company is great!) I cannot wait to put it all on while skiing!
Just the hint: it took me two orders to figure tops 84245 and 98206 are very similar. Maybe there is very tiny difference in the material. I like this one a bit more than 98206. On 98206 I like better the neck line ... go figure… both tops are amazing! 12947 belong to the same family – great “glove” top with short sleeves. I plane to use it as base layer for every day for winter time.
I would give all three tops 10 stars if available!
One more hint for skiers: go to check 89174 – similar story for bottom… (first time I ordered 2 and second time 3 pieces!)
Love this - ordered a second round By I have forgotten my nickname from Moody, Maine on 07/12/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Athletics, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For people who want a slim-fitting shirt to wear under other layers any time of year. I live at the beach and I use it in summer as a sunscreen layer by keeping it wet in the summer sun; I'm protected and cool in the hot sun. I had ordered one months ago and wore it so often that I ordered four others later.
