Great for Rock Climbing too By LifeIsGood from Reno, NV on 06/09/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, EFFECTIVE, Safe, Works Well Best Uses: Cold Climate, Rock Climbing, Skiing Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Like another reviewer, I have Reynauds and cold can really be miserable and I've used them skiing. But there's an even BETTER use ... I'm a rock climber and I've found cold rocks to be quite painful. A friend recommended I put one of these in my chalk bag and WOW, totally changes everything. I carry them in my climbing pack all the time now. I probably don't need the 10 hour packs in the summer, but I sure love them in the fall/winter/spring

Oh, to the person who was complaining about them not working in 17,800 feet: you should have paid more attention in high-school man, these bags are based on a chemical reaction that needs oxygen to occur, and there isn't enough oxygen at 17,000 feet to catalyze the reaction.

it really warms over 10 hours By Mario from Salem, OR on 02/06/2009 Pros: Accurate, Durable, Works Well Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these hand warmers for skiing, however they are too big for the glove pocket, you can put them in the palms, they are easy to use, once exposed to air, the warmer heats up well over 50 F and it will last over 10 hours, if left over half a hour inside of glove, the weather better be freezing outside, it can get so hot that it hurts for a bit.
