wouldn't call this a coat By connie from new york on 09/22/2009 Describe Yourself: Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: At best this is a jacket(unlined); or rather a sort of sweater-jacket. Definitely not a real "coat" and not nearly warm enough to serve as one. Would do for a fall day, but didn't care for the style which isn't really a sweater, or a jacket. Wish it had been better described. Had to return it - a real disappointment.
Cullen hooded boiled woll coat By dog walker from York, PA on 09/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a great easy throw on to walk my dogs.
Is light enough and dark enough that it doesn't show too much "dog".
I have not used it enough to have complaints on it at yet. It would need to be cold out.
By sweater lover from Indianapolis, IN on 09/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Cons: Not Warm, Poor Material Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I own a large number of Cullen items and have been pleased by the design and construction of everything. This is the first item I have returned. This "coat" is cute, but it is unlined and the boiled wool fabric is so lightweight it is almost the equivalent of felt. There is nothing imaginative about the design; the colors are trendy as is the snap closure, but the pull of the snaps on the unreinforced thin fabric may result in a fabric tear. It also snaps close only to about hip level leaving the remainder of the nearly knee length coat flapping open in the "breeze". I don't think it would provide as much warmth as a good sweater and the poor fabric quality and plain design does not warrant its price. Cullen's expertise is in knits and sweaters. The design team needs to return to the drawing board if it wants to expand into the coat market.

Nice, warm, vibrant color By Dee from NH on 09/02/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this coat in the blue color and I find it has a fun, refreshing style. At 5'2" I am petite sized and although this is not a petite length coat, the bell design of the sleeve with the cuff keeps the cuff at my wrist preventing the sleeve from looking too long. The length works too. There is a slight flare in the "skirt" which adds to the fun style. And of course it's boiled wool making it nice and warm.
