New Balance Walking Shoes (For Women) By Peg and Pups from Pennsylvania on 05/03/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Stable Best Uses: Pavement, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I walk our two dogs daily for a mile or a little more. These are comfortable shoes with or without socks... and the color keeps them from quickly becoming stained by the normal dirt of an outdoor walk.
My second pair of these shoes... By A Bargain Hunter from Cleveland, Oklahoma on 05/03/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Rarely Workout Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They last a long time - are well made and can take a beating! Those are the reasons that this is my second pair of these shoes! They are comfortable and keep my feet feeling good throughout all kinds of conditions. I wear them daily for work and spend a lot of time walking on concrete. Be sure to order one half size larger than you would normally wear -- they run short!

By Florestine from San Ramon, CA on 04/19/2009 Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for an every day walking shoe and these looked great. Unfortunately I found the shoe too narrow in the front foot area. I normally wear a medium width and was surprised at how snug these were. Returned them.

Not as comfortable as they look By Seeking comfort w/ some style from St. Louis, MO on 04/08/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Good Traction, Nicer looking sport shoe, Stable Cons: Chafes at seams, Needs break-in, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoes look better than most running/walking shoes. Spares us the garish colors & striping, and crass logos, so could easily be used in workplaces that are casual or standing intensive (at least by their looks; didn't happen to be so comfortable for me & arches seem too far forward for my foot.) On the fence on the recommendation to friend question-- only if they did NOT have my particular foot problems.
New Balance Styling in the toe By Auntybren from WV on 04/08/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have worn New Balance for several years and have enjoyed the wider toe area found on a few other retailers. Now it seems, NB has narrowed the toe area, a new trend with their shoes for 09(as told to me by our local retainer). I like the suede outer, the inner support, suspect durability, but miss the width of the toe pocket. I kept these since the price was so good, and will enjoy them esp in the fall(seasonal color), but will miss the extra expanse for my wider foot.

Tried them for two days but couldn't get past the heat factor. Otherwise great shoes!
