Lots of room for fat arms By Jog-a-lot from Round Rock, TX on 07/20/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Nice Color Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Great dress for the price, but then I had to spend another [$] to have it altered. I love it now, but it when it came, it had disproportionate arm holes. They really stuck out under my arms. If you can sew well enough to alter this dress it is a great deal and a wonderful dress.
By beaglemom from north suburbs of Chicago on 07/07/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Versatile Cons: short, Thin Fabric, Tight in bust Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: a fun dress for around town or casual work. It is short ( I am 5'8", if you are shorter the length may be fine) tight in the bust ( heed the advice of the website and order a size larger), and needs a slip, but it is still cute, fun, and a great deal at this price. If they have your size, try it!
By dress diva from Nova Scotia Canada on 06/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Cons: Expected more linen feel, Fabric color not true, Fabric too thin Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I plan to use this as a casual summer dress. I like the classic style but the fabric was disappointing. I had hoped for a true linen feel. The color is also green rather than the teal that was advertised. But it is very good value for the money and overall I am pleased with the purchase.
needs a slip but otherwise nice By beaglemom from north suburbs chicago on 06/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color Cons: sheer, Shorter than expected, Thin Fabric Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: runs a bit short and sheer- needs a slip, and for me ( 5'8")is too short for other than very casual wear
By rafting gal from grand junction co on 05/21/2009 Cons: Cheap Fabric, Low Quality, Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I kept the item to keep in my closet as a quick throw on, but after I washed it, I realized it's not so quick because I have to iron it.
Even worse it requires a really low iron setting to keep from burning the fabric.
It takes way too long to iron for something that I will only wear for grocery shopping errands. The fabric looks too cheap to wear anywhere else
By drdonna from northern va on 05/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the perfect dress for running to the store or then accessorize and it makes an elegantly simple backdrop for a statement necklace for a little dressier times. It fits my wide shoulders and does not pinch at armpits.
By urbanbabyboomer from Boston, MA on 05/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Nice Color Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A simple dress that runs a bit short. (I ordered a size up from my usual 12 and found that the length is still a bit short on me, I'm 5'8".) The purple color is great. It's washable, and lightweight. Moreover, the price was right.
By LUNA from Glendale, CA on 05/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A NICE LITTLE DRESS THAT LOOKS SIMPLE BUT ELEGANT, BUT YOU NEED TO WEAR A SLIP, THE FABRIC IS TOO THIN, THERE IS NO LINING IN THE DRESS.
Very Nice Dress; Excellent Value By meromaine from LA, CA on 05/11/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Versatile Cons: Colors are weird, Thin Fabric Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this dress in two colors (and ordered one size up based on other people's reviews--so glad I did!!). In both dresses I have had people stop me to compliment me on it. It's a good cut, though there is slightly too much fabric around the waist and belly for my particular shape. Since it's pretty form fitting (even in a size larger than what I ordinarily wear) things like a bit more fabric are really noticeable.
A great value. This is the first "2nd" I've ever bought: I've been a little snotty and nervous about them because I thought they would have distracting problems like weird seam lines. I cannot even find the flaw. Will def buy 2nds from STP again.
By PegBecks from Maine on 05/05/2009 Pros: Nice Color, Nice Fabric Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the Purple color was actually nice, but the fit was not good for this body. Hips were too small and bust was too big. Also the dress was too short. Sadly, returned.
