Nice inner layer for warmth By Runner from Shelton, CT on 11/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Running Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been facing bitter winter cold of the north-east all these years without knowing the existence of this product. It will surely give the warmth that is required for temperatures below zero. They worked well so far in the early fall.
Good product - Good Value! By Don the golfer from Rochester, NY on 10/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the product for golfing when the temperture is below 50 degrees.
By freecookies from Greeley, CO on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: One caveat - these are pretty thick long johns, so you'll want to make sure your outer clothing is loose fitting.
But they do keep you warm when it's cold and you're sitting down. If you're moving around, these might be a bit too much.
Would buy again but size smaller. By Greg from Minot, ND on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday Wear, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I sure wish all clothing makers would use the same size chart. The med. top fits well but the med bottoms were too big but will work. It's not Wickers fault - i've got clothes from small to large in my closet and they all fit. Seems to depend on the manufacturer. I would buy again but a size smaller.
By SierraLover from Madison, WI on 10/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very heavy duty, too stiff for movement like skiing, cycling, running
Good, well made heavy bottoms! By ruger3306 from ruger3306 on 10/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work outside and wanted something similar to Under Armour without being so expensive. These are nice, heavy (but not too bulky)and warm. I wear a 34-36 waist and 32-34 inseam and ordered a Large and they fit just fine.
From the big and small mutant shop. By A normal bodied human from Frostbite Falls, Minnesota on 10/21/2009 Cons: Odd Sizing, Strange Cut Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The Wickers Long Underwear Bottoms - Expedition Weight have a strange size and cut to them. The ankles and lower legs are very tight and restrictive to the point of being very uncomfortable. I would be afraid of circulation problems wearing these all day. The groin sags way down and to correct the sagging groin, the top half could be pulled halfway up the chest. These were not cut and sewn for a normal human. These are unwearable for me, so they get sent off to a charity clothier as a tax write off.
Special weave isn't bulky By B from Evergreen, CO on 08/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It appears that warmth is achieved on the expedition weight long johns by a special weave, ribbed on the inside, rather than by a lot of bulk. This will help wearing them under other layers that aren't especially loose. Size L seems longer than I expected, but the waist fits well.
