Best Uses:
Lounging at home
Describe Yourself:
Gym Rat
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: The material is comfortably stretchy and warm. However, the rise came almost 3" above my navel. Inseam is long and ankle quite narrow. So if you wear it at the waist, it sags at the crotch and really bunches up at the ankle. Great for lounging around at home though.

By gardening gal from Oakland, CA on 3/17/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Warm
Cons:
A lttle too long for me, Little tight at ankle
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, Use for stationary cold
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: My work is very physically active and the pants are excellent for use under my work pants for keeping me warm and wicking moister when I'm very active. Also I attend a weekly outdoor meeting, rain or shine, and when I wear these pants, I am able to stay warm enough in very cold weather even when stationary for an hour or more.
Could be worn for leggings!!

Comments: had I purchased the black pair instead of med bluthese could very well be worn for those difficult to find winter leggings. I wear a large tall but these fit more like a mens large, to roomy. if you want something closer to body suggest to order 1 size smaller. otherwise GREAT product even if a tad pricey at [$].

These fit so weird & long in the crotch
By Backpacker Girl from Sierra's in California on 2/5/2008
Pros:
This fabric is warm, Warm
Cons:
Poor Craftsmanship, Poor Fit, Sewed very poorly
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, Snow Sports
Describe Yourself:
Weekend Warrior
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: This fabric is so warm, when I tried it on, it was very cold, I was toasty warm very quick, but, these are so poorly sewn with the crotch hanging down to my knees. I dont know why a company would make so many irregular pair of pants. I sent it back, now I will have to wear mens underwear because I can never find womens that fit, or are heavy duty expedition weight. Very sad to me.If I sewed, I would attempt to hem the extremely long crotch!!

Comments: I just got these bottoms and haven't worn them out yet, so I can't comment too much on the warmth. I did want to comment on the fit. These seem especially made for long waisted people. I'm petite, and the waist comes almost up to my chest! I guess it's just more insulation so there's nothing wrong with that, but it's just a really weird fit. The strange thing is that the legs are a bit long on me (to be expected since I'm 5'4"), but not THAT long, especially considering the high waist.

Comments: Comfy but really high waist: navel or higher. I folded it down. Warm. Tapered tight at the lower legs and ankles but not very tight in thighs. If you're in between sizes, go down. I used these as my base layer on the Antarctic Peninsula and they were warm!
