By Daybreak Lizzie from Louisville, KY on 03/23/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes were not what I was hoping for - I wanted to wear them walking on pavement and hiking. they are too stiff for pavement and make my arches hurt. They would probably be good for hiking only. I had to send them back.....

This is not a cross trainer By Margie from Evergreen Park, IL on 03/19/2009 Cons: Heavy, Not a cross trainer, This is a hiking shoe Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I use a cross trainer for aerobic excercise in a gym. This shoe is itemized as a cross trainer, but it really is a outdoor hiking, running shoe. I feel I was misinformed on this item.
By Jan from Tacoma, WA on 03/18/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Pavement, Track, Trails Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am always amazed at how comfortable Merrell shoes are even when they are brand new. This shoe needs a little break-in, but it provides ample room for your toes even in lightweight hiking socks. Good support and great comfort.
By Lori from Casper, WY on 03/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track, Trails Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for walking/running on the trails. Very comfortable from day one. No break-in needed. Love the Merrell brand shoes. I found these shoes to be a little wider but not bigger.
By ma from NC on 03/10/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Web site recommended ordering a smaller size. I chose to still order my normal size, but the shoes were a little too short. Did not fit at all like my previous Merrells.
By annoyed from Rochester, New York on 03/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the look of this shoe, but from past reviews it was suggested this shoe ran 1/2 size too big. I ordered a smaller size than normal and had to return them. Now I'm waiting for my exchanged pair:(
Another winner from Merrell By Rochester Runner from Rochester, NY on 03/03/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Stable Best Uses: Pavement, Trails, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes seem to run true to size despite STP stating they run large. If you order a half size smaller you may find them to be too short, especially if you wear orthotics. Double knot the laces to keep them tied. They aren't as narrow as approach style shoes so they may work well for wider feet.
By Outdoor lady from Iron Station, NC on 02/16/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this for day hikes - on pavement and in the woods - its very comfortable for long walks. I've never had a problem with Merrell brand.
