By Chap from Derry New Hampshire on 11/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice and light-weight. Needed non-cotton clothing under jacket(s) for hiking. I'm heavy at 5'9" and 260 lbs so I get pretty moist under exertion. Length was fine. Hiking the New Hampshire 4000 footers over the next few years.
The material is the kind that catches easily on dry skin like hands in winter so you get that prickly sensation handling the cloth.
Too small - Different Materials By AzMountainGuy from Alpine, AZ on 11/13/2008 Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased a white colored version of this product - it fit great & excellent material. I utilized this product by going R2R2R at the Grand Canyon and then a fall attempt on Granite Peak in WY. I then tried to purchase a black one, too small different material - I returned it. I then tried a gray version and again - too small & completely different material. There is no consistency in this product.

Good for baselayer under a fleece or heavier layer. Not as "fluffy" on the inside as we like.

By jim the skier from Blue Ridge Mountains on 03/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: For skiing in the Southeast this is too thin. I know that is hard to believe. You still would need to wear an underwear layer under it or a sweater on top. To me it is a why bother layer. Too thin to be useful. It might be perfect for a few weeks in late April in the mountains.
