expectations high, satisfaction low By cactuscorn from Sioux City, IA on 03/02/2008 Pros: Moisture Wicking, Warm Cons: Poor Fit, uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: my idea here was to find some all day comfort, warm base layering for long periods of outdoor use in sub freezing weather and severe wind chill.
im a mountainbiking photojournalist in the midwest so it gets pretty cold, nutty cold at times, and im outside for long periods of time. i need layers that can handle this and still provide maximum comfort. well i ordered 2 after reading previous reviews and was pleased with the warmth but noticed the neck was quite loose and hung low as well as a zipper that chaffed my chest. i figured a wash or 2 might clear things up. i was wrong.
maybe ill try it as a 2nd layer yet in the end it didnt work as promised or expected. ya cant get it right every time.

He layers for the long fights with a wicking layer on the bottom. This is perfect. Looks good alone, too.

Perfect product - just what I hoped for. By Tony T. from Santa Fe, NM on 12/30/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports, Team Sports Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As advertised - a medium weight garment for that in-between weather which we have alot of in Santa Fe. Have nothing negative to say, since it was precisely the weight, form and style that I prefer in such a garment for Santa Fe weather.
Everything to a "T" and more! By Probation/Parole Officer G from Large Southeast City in PA on 12/29/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Describe Yourself: Rarely Workout Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a long sleeve undershirt for my field work as a Probation Officer during the winter months. This shirt gives me the warmth I needed, and in fact when I wore it inside I got too warm and had to remove it! It feels stretchy and slick and fit me fine on my pear-sized body. The only negatives are that I am not used to zippers and slight turtlenecks, so I have to wear it not zipped all the way. In addition, the sleeves are a bit long but not too long past the outershirt. Otherwise, I like it and would recommend it.

It kept me warm i.e. served its purpose.
Poor Attention to Details By DC Skier from Rockville, MD on 12/21/2007 Pros: Lightweight, Moisture Wicking Cons: Poor Craftsmanship, Poor Fit Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This would be decent if not for the poorly designed collar. There is too much material bunching up at the zipper, causing a peak of material uneven with the rest of the collar.
Overall it did not fit evenly due to the cut of the garment. I bought the size small in black, zipper was gray, should have been black. I know these are 2nds, but was expecting better based on the reviews here.
