By Rachel from Houghton, MI on 02/24/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought this jacket ran big from other icebreaker items I've purchased (two tank tops and a long sleeve.) I normally wear a size 10 jacket and ordered a large. It was really cute though, but I decided I couldn't justify sending it back and maybe finding out the medium was too small. Also, the reviews led me to believe that the java color was more purple than brown, but I didn't really think it was purple.

I love it. It fits everywhere really nicely, but just a bit off in the shoulders. It is wearing in and forming more to my shape, but out of the box it was too bulky in the shoulders. I am glad that I kept, and I wear it daily!

Style wise it would be better without the zipper as it would look sleeker and fall better, but it does make it much warmer. One note: I'm 5'9" with long arms and they are the perfect length for me, but for someone shorter, you might find the arms too long.
By Frenchaholic from Nyack, NY on 02/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like Icebreaker and tried this jacket in a small. I'm petite and it was just a tad big but I think if I ordered one size smaller it may bee too small. Ah, the issues with shopping for clothes online...Very nice jacket - the ink color is essentially navy. Construction looks good but have yet to test out as it's too cold right now to wear this.
Nice Jacket but Not if you have a bust By Ismoon from Charlotte, NC on 12/25/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great jacket, but if you have a bust like I do the buttons gap. It fit me great in all other ways and if it just had the zipper, it would have been perfect. But the button flap totally doesn't work if you have larger than a C cup.

I live in a climate with rapidly changing weather, and it's perfect - warm, but not too bulky, and good for damp weather. I really like the classic fit and tailoring, and a glad that the sleeves are long enough (those with short arms might need to get the sleeves taken up).
I got the Java color, which is more of a purplish-brown, rather than chocolate as it appears on my screen. It's unusual, though I think really pretty. I also like the lining.
I'm between a small and a medium and went with a medium, so I have enough room to layer it over a sweater.
By javafox from Kent, UK on 12/03/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am completely hooked on Icebreaker. This coat is great in wind and wet weather - perfect for the UK. The ink colour is lovely and complementary, and the coat fits well over clothes. I ordered a large, and normally wear a size 10 US/12-14 UK. I wear a lot of layers in the winter (mostly Icebreaker jumpers!) and this coat fits well. Not tight on my bum across the shoulders, and it does not pull or gap. The zipper is a little stiff but I'm overlooking that because the rest of the coat is fabulous. I'm glad I got mine - you will be too!
Lovely coat, but not for the big chested By acegirltoronto from Toronto, ON, Canada on 11/24/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really love this coat-- it is thin but very warm, excellent for that in-between weather. It is tapered and fits great on my shoulders, waist and hips. But it's a bit tight across the chest (and I'm just a 36B)! If I wear a sweater underneath, the buttons gap and do weird things. I think I'm going to have an extra clasp put in to see if it will solve things. Great jacket if you're flat-chested, but bigger busted ladies should avoid or move a size up.
By anonymus from California on 11/22/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Flattering cut, lighter weight. Felted Merino wool gives you the warm without the bulk. It is perfect for Northern California winters. This coat fits great, moves with you, does not feel stiff at all, and does not wrinkle easily. Looks great with anything! I love it!
Note that the Ink color is a very dark blue, not black and Java is an almost brownish, very dark plum color. It is actually very easy to wear and a nice original color. I traditionally only wear black or dark brown but very much like this color with its hint of plum. The coat is very high quality, attention to details is evident. Overall a very good deal here at Sierra Trading post.Thank you!
